Microchipping is a safe and easy way to permanently identify your pet in the unfortunate case that your pet is lost.
If your pet is lost and transported to another clinic/shelter, the staff there will scan your pet for a chip, if a chip is found they will be able to contact you, so that you and your pet can reunite.
The actual microchip is about the size and shape of a grain of rice, and it is inserted under the pets’ skin between the shoulder blades with a needle. The procedure is quick and relatively painless, just like getting a vaccine!
We strongly recommend using this form of identification for your pet, as well as collar identification, as you are more likely to have your pet returned safely home.
